NATIONAL WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL LEAGUE
The National Wheelchair Basketball League is Australia’s premier domestic wheelchair basketball competition, bringing together the nation’s leading Paralympians, Australian Rollers & Gliders, elite and emerging Para-athletes, in a high-performance national league.
Governed by Wheelchair Basketball Australia, the NWBL & WNWBL represent the highest level of wheelchair basketball competition in the country and plays a critical role in the development of athletes progressing toward international representation, World Championships and the Paralympic Games.
Representing Sydney on the national stage, the Manly Wheel Eagles are one of Australia’s leading wheelchair basketball programs, proudly combining elite performance with strong community values and athlete development pathways.
The team features current Australian Paralympians, Australian Rollers representatives and emerging next-generation talent pursuing the dream of representing Australia at future World Championships & Paralympic Games, including Brisbane 2032. Alongside elite competition, the Manly Wheel Eagles are committed to growing wheelchair basketball, increasing visibility for Para sport and creating opportunities for athletes of all ages and abilities.
Through the support of our partners, sponsors, volunteers and community, the Manly Wheel Eagles continue to build pathways for athletes while proudly representing Sydney and inspiring the next generation of Para athletes across Australia.
